Manages plan development and execution of new generation construction projects to fulfill the requirements established by the Manager of Projects. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

REQUIRES:

• BS in Engineering desired. Masters degree, PACE and/or PMP certifications a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management working on large complex construction projects with minimum 5 years in a supervisory capacity. In-depth knowledge of the Nuclear Industry specifically relating but not limited to electrical and mechanical modifications is required.
• Working at a large A&E firm (i.e. Black & Veatch, Washington Group, etc.) preferred.
• 5-8 years experience and an advanced degree — or - equivalent and in-depth knowledge in area of specialty.

This position is responsible for directing other personnel and providing electrical and project engineering support for major projects for FPL nuclear plants. The successful candidate will have broad design and implementation experience in the design and installation of component modifications and upgrades at Nuclear Power plants, as well as experience supervising others performing these tasks. The candidate will prepare/review complex engineering documents that require hands on experience with nuclear industry standards, regulations and governing industry and state codes for electrical system and equipment design. The candidate must be experienced in performing complex electrical calculations and analyses for electrical system dynamics including emergency power systems. The candidate will perform design and field engineering tasks with little or no precedence, act as a consultant to supervision, and help direct the work of other engineers. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and have the management skills to resolve conflict issues and coordinate design production to assure schedule and budget compliance.
